Harappa

On Saturday, we took a trip to Harappa. Harappa is an Indus Valley civilization dating back to 1500-3500 BC.  It's smaller but better preserved neighbor, Mohenjo Daro, is a World Heritage site.  Mainly, it was a nice day to get out of Lahore and enjoy the green countryside.
Anastasia and Talula found some pink finally! (there was yellow everywhere for Talula in the fields, but Anastasia was having difficulty finding her favorite color)
another shade of pink
w/ Ms. Jess, my teaching and coaching partner at a sign pointing to other Indus civilization sites
The girls in their Pakistan shalwar khames
following the path that lead from cemetery to grain storage to wells, etc
wells were double lined to keep water cooler

thorn forests are common in this area- this tree has no leaves, but instead succulent sections with thorns on them
Anthony, Jess, Anastasia, Randy and Ed (Christina, myself and Talula were taking the photos)
Anastasia liked this graffiti

We enjoyed an ice cream cone on the way out, some more neatly than others
under a banyon tree as we waited for lunch
it was pretty massive

Tired girls- waking early after a week of school and a Friday night birthday party
