Happy Birthday/ Ballet

Mrs. Sunette's class gather for Anastasia's "Happy Birthday"

Anastasia has really been looking forward to her "Happy Birthday" at school. Since she has a summer birthday, we just chose a random day- before exams, Madonna concert and graduation next week!We made little gift bags for all of her classmates (which she checked on regularly in their special storage spot at home), made brownies, cupcakes and a cake. Noy, our nanny, wanted to add some chips and drinks and participate in the celebration at school. So, Talula got to come to AISA also- which thrilled my girls' class.

Talula was really impressed with the classroom
and the frosting on the cupcakes

Later at home with some birthday gifts  (this is her new forced smile- more to come!)
In contrast, I'm not really even sure if Anastasia realized she was going to be performing in the junior ballet recital.  She had missed 2 weeks of classes due to a series of unfortunate illnesses, attended 2 classes, and then only collected the new yellow costume on the day of the event.  The theme was "in the garden" and the three year olds were going as SUNS.  At first I thought she was going to be a bee- which would have been a bit ironic considering she is still recovering from the infection from her first ever sting.  So a sun was probably a better option.
